There is much to say about tact. Although some may believe that they are above the pettiness of greed, ego, pride, selfishness, lust, vanity and jealousy, we have all faced those things at some point in our lives, either in ourselves or through the observation of others. Despite how far one is along in their life, the challenges of learning to deal with and reconcile these behaviors/impulses persist within each and every one of us. How we choose to deal with these things is what sets us apart.

We can either choose to delve into them with reckless abandon, we can deny their existence, we can suppress them, or we can accept them, and learn to curb them. By facing the challenges of this life and by understanding that we as individuals do not always hold all of the answers we can grow and move forward. There is much to learn, even from our enemies, those whom we shutter to associate ourselves with, and those whom we deem below the social class, or below the moral or spiritual compass. The truth is not always hidden. Sometimes it is just wrapped in not so pretty packages. Always the choice is ours.
